Festival of Libraries - Open Afternoon

  • The Portico Library 57 Mosley Street Manchester, England, M2 3HY United Kingdom (map)

We’re open on Sunday afternoon especially for Manchester’s Festival of Libraries! Pop in to look round our thought provoking exhibition In the Margins and soak up the atmosphere under our dome.

We will also be hosting a workshop on Trauma, Identity and the Collection, run by Abbi Parcell and Ruby Seddon-Wilson, between 2-4pm. This is a workshop on the relationship between trauma and identity, with an opportunity to be part of the ongoing work of diversifying the collection by creating your own piece to help create new writings on identity, informed by testimony and creative practice. It is free but numbers are capped so you can book in advance here.
