Buff-tailed Bumblebee print
Buff-tailed Bumblebee print
Buff-tailed Bumblebee
Native bumblebees prefer loose soil and a bit of ‘mess’ in the garden. Pollinators and other invertebrates need the cover of fallen leaves.
The illustration shows both the underground nest and the open flowers that Bufftails prefer because of their short tongues. It is the queen that has the buff-coloured tail—her worker daughters are often mistaken for the white-tailed variety!
