Rajpoor Camp
This Lithograph print from India and its Native Princes, written by Louis Rousselet in 1876, portrays the author’s camp in Rajpoor during his extensive travels in India.
This exquisitely detailed print displays the work of the guides as they establish an overnight camp for the travellers, replete with a makeshift kitchen, chickens and tents. The exhaustion of the camels and their herders is dramatically illustrated as they repose beneath the shade of a large tree.
This print was reproduced from India and its Native Princes by Louis Rousselet and Charles Randolph Buckle, 1876
